1st Career Win
Edgewater - December 30th, 1989

Shown below is the finish of my very first winner aboard Edgewater. The other jockey on the inside in the blue cap is my brother Slade Callaghan who still races and is based at Woodbine racetrack in Toronto, Canada. Needless to say it was a very exciting day for me to be involved in a tight finish and come out the winner!

I was 15 years old and tacked 89lbs (weighed that weight, including saddle, clothes and boots) in this first winner of mine.
