Canadian Wins 1996

Once again 1996 turned out to be a very bad year for me; it all started in Nov. of last year (1996) where while racing I partially tore a ligament in my knee and ended up with a flexible knee brace for the entire winter. I came back to Toronto in early February to get a cortizone shot in my right knee to help alleviate the pain in my knee. I started the season with a win on the first day of the year and won 3 races before giving up to the pain in and around my knees.

I went to a new surgeon who finally discovered another problem with my knees - I had a cyst in my left knee and a chip behind the knee cap of the right knee. Needless to say I ended up having an operation on both of my knees and was off racing for approx. 4 months.

The rest of the year I ended up once again being my own agent and won 6 more races for the year.
